Come to the edge...

ONE AXE Pursuits will make you feel like a superhero for a day as you zip over the Gorge in Elora and take in a view that will take your breath away.

Our program begins with a morning of rappel instruction. Then, propel yourself from the edge of the 80-foot cliff and fly 200 feet across the Elora Gorge on the Zipline. Once across, rappel like a human spider from mid-air down to the shallow river below. Your day of training and fun all comes under the supervision of our professional team of instructors.

Your six-hour program starts at 10 in the morning and finishes at 4 pm. In between, enjoy a fresh and delicious picnic lunch, prepared and delivered to us in the Park by the culinary brigade of Mill Street Bakery and Bistro.

Soon you'll be off to the Breadalbane Street Bistro in neqrby Fergus for a refreshing beverage and a scrumptious dinner. But not before you check into your room for a shower and a fresh change of clothes at 3 Bears Bed & Breakfast.

The Breadalbane Inn is bent on creating new synergies in local tastes. Food is modeled on the best of French ethics: simplicity married to the freshest of ingredients, with skillful cooking and the best produce from around Wellington County. Food, wine, and atmosphere are woven together here to form an experience full of flavor and surprises. A new first-floor dining room, kitchen and talent behind the stoves all add up to an ambitious, confident and successful restaurant, and a refined dining experience.

Garrett and Melanie will help see to that. Set on an acre of mature cedars and gardens, 3 Bears offers a rare, sloping walkdown to the banks of the Grand River. Our recently renovated home is an eclectic mix of contemporary tastes and art deco, with hardwood floors and a dramatic chef’s kitchen. Three guest rooms all face the river below; the two largest rooms each have two beds—and all rooms have an ensuite or private bathroom.

The Chart Room features a pool table, comfy couch, piano, TV with DVD collection, a laptop computer with free high-speed wireless internet, darts and a small personal library. There's also a walkout to the covered guest patio overlooking the river and gardens. Small touches will make you feel welcome, including fresh-cut flowers, sparkling water and stemware. There are luxury bathrobes, blow dryers in each bathroom and nightly turn-down service with a chocolate on the pillow. Creative, gourmet breakfasts are created daily, and are, of course, included with your room.
