Brew House on the Grand welcomes you to Fergus!
This pub and restaurant marry the best of our Scottish and Canadian heritage to provide a unique family experience where people come to meet friends.
There are 18 beers on tap, great food, open-air concerts and charming bed and breakfast rooms. The building itself is an historical landmark, erected in 1851, featuring original limestone walls and leather-belted fans as part of its cozy atmosphere. Located right on the Grand River, regular patrons proclaim ours to be the best patio in town!
Owners Katherine and Jim focus their efforts on making the Brew House a welcoming destination that’s all about friends and family. This summer promises to be the best yet, with live entertainment on Thursday (popular and folk), and Celtic music on Saturday nights. There are also occasional beer tastings with support from local Ontario Micro-Breweries. Katherine plays the fiddle, and with a little encouragement, has been known to strike up a few impromptu tunes.
Chef Glenn combines traditional pub food with unique dining options to provide something for everyone. The pub boasts the best wings in town and people rave about the fish ‘n chips. Also with a substantial following are “The Bagpipes”, Cajun Shrimp and Polenta, the locally-raised Pork Chop Platter served with homemade chutney, and the House Smoked Trout Salad. Gluten-free, vegetarian and children's menus are always available.
